Tuesday evening saw a change to the plan with late work resulting in some basic core and press up's done at home in between watching the Chelsea Vs Man U match... 2-1 Chelsea thankfully and a great game! I got a Leg Massage and was amazed at the weakness in the legs after. Wasn't up for much so it was more or less a second rest day!
Wednesday morning saw legs still not the best so I went for a swim session in the evening. Best thing possible and really refreshed my muscles as well as doing a reasonable swim and technique session.
It also provided a useful initial tester of my new Swimovate Poolmate Pro watch and I'm happy to report this is an excellent piece of equipment. Tracked all lengths accurate and provided some useful analysis material and data downloads to compare over time etc.
Thursday I went for a double session in the gym in the evening, started with stretching, followed with 5k run, then a 15k Bike at reasonable pace and another 2.5k run off the bike. Into the pool then for 40 laps on technique before relaxing in the hydropool. I took the running easy coming back from my slight calf strain which I'm happy to report is now cleared after massage.
Up early Friday morning for a turbo session before work - just a small 20k unfortunately and thought I could hear an intermittant clicking so I plan on taking the bike out for a short spin Saturday morning to clarify. Just had it serviced and want to make sure all is A1 before trip to Abu Dhabi. Friday evening I had my weekly 1.5 hour Club Swim Sessions - resulted in just over 3.5k swam and was a good session.
Saturday see's a long slow easy run - not decided on distance yet as don't want to jump it up too high which can lead to injuries/strains etc. So it'll be around 15k or so, maybe more if legs feel up to it. Weights session planned for the afternoon then.
Sunday see's my weekly long bike of 3 hours and 90-100k done depending on route.
I've 4 workouts now logged in the swimovate watch, all 100% accurate and plotting some data nicely.
I'll post up a mini review over the weekend along with pictures etc.
Ok it's over and out from me as
